People Moves: UKAA Investor Lender Forum appoints Apache Capital’s Ashley Perry as Vice-Chair
Press Release - The UK Apartment Association (UKAA) has appointed Ashley Perry as the new Vice-Chair of its Investor Lender Forum. Perry, who brings over a decade of experience to the UKAA, will work closely with Investor Lender Forum Chair and Executive Director of Valuation and Advisory Services at CBRE, Jason Hardman, who was appointed earlier this year. The Vice-Chair appointment marks another step in the continuing expansion of UKAA's regional presence.
UKAA acts as a collective voice for UK
Build to Rent, serving to de-risk the sector for developers, investors,
operators and suppliers through a mixture of education, networking and
research. The Investor Lender Forum plays a critical role in this,
aiming to inform and educate the BTR finance sector on operational
assets, return optimisation and risk management.
Ashley Perry has served as Investment
Director at leading Build to Rent investment manager Apache Capital
since the start of 2022, following five years as BTR Director at Liv
Consult. He helps shape the company's investment strategy across its
multi-family portfolio, focused on creating exceptional communities. The
£4.1bn (AUM) Apache Capital entered into a 6,500-unit joint venture
with Moda Living in 2015 and in 2021 created the UK's first
purpose-built-and-designed single family platform, Present Made.
Apache's capital partners include KKR, Harrison Street and NFU Mutual.
"The Build to Rent sector is fast-becoming a central feature of the national housing mix as investors respond to growing demand for professional rental living, and there are signals that suggest government is beginning to recognise BTR as viable solution to our housing crisis. To this end the UKAA is an important part of the industry's educational and networking arsenal and I look forward to offering my support."
Ashley Perry, Vice-Chair, UKAA Investor Lender Forum
"We are delighted to welcome Ashley to the Investor Lender Forum and look forward to him playing a pivotal role in its delivery of knowledge, events and expertise as the UK BTR sector goes from strength to strength."
Brendan Geraghty, CEO, UKAA
