Jane Cooper said:
"Offshore wind is at the heart of the energy transition as we look towards a cleaner, greener future. Delivering the Offshore Wind Sector Deal was a pivotal moment for the industry and I am really excited to be joining Dan and his fantastic team at RenewableUK to continue the work we in the industry started three years ago, as we step up to meet the new Government ambition".
RenewableUK's CEO Dan McGrail said:
"I am absolutely thrilled that Jane is joining RenewableUK at such a critical time for the industry. The Offshore Wind Sector Deal was a real turning point for the industry, and the ever-increasing ambition, which has risen from 30GW to 50GW by 2030, creates a renewed impetus to accelerate progress across skills, supply chain, grid and innovation. Jane has not only the deep know-how of the sector from her time at Ørsted, but has the vision and insight required to match the UK's ambition with bold action".
