People Moves: Mott MacDonald appoints new E&S Technical Director in its Newcastle office
Media Article (Infrastructure Intelligence) - Mott MacDonald has appointed Rebecca Shadlock as Environment and Sustainability Technical Director in its UK environment and social business. As part of an expanding team with nearly 500 experts located across the UK, Shadlock will provide technical leadership, supporting clients to achieve their net zero carbon commitments, deliver nature-based solutions and become climate resilient.
She will be based in the consultancy's offices in Newcastle.
Shadlock has spent nearly 20 years working across multiple sectors including construction, manufacturing, petrochemical and waste management. Her focus is on adding value and working collaboratively to deliver business priorities whilst minimising environmental impact.
She has a long track record of handling the interests of clients, stakeholders, regulators and other government agencies, so that any planning issues are identified and addressed to achieve project delivery.
Her recent project highlights include carbon lead on the A66 scheme to meet the requirements of PAS 2080 carbon management in infrastructure. She has also provided environmental support and leadership across a range of major projects where she was responsible for embedding company sustainability strategies and engagement with regulatory bodies to deliver in accordance with development consent order conditions and environmental legislation.
