Press Release - JLL has announced the promotion of Helen Amos as Head of Sustainability at JLL in Hong Kong. She will support the firm and our clients to develop sustainability solutions to achieve their accelerated sustainability goals and strengthen their capabilities in ESG.
Helen has over 18 years of experience in the sustainability sector. She specialises in the development and implementation of decarbonisation targets and strategies for both operational and embodied carbon. She brings a wealth of knowledge on how to face challenges in achieving carbon reduction in the real estate sector. Helen has international expertise delivering projects in Asia, Africa and Europe in commercial real estate, retail and industrial assets to drive measurable outcomes, working with both investors and occupiers.
Alex Barnes, Managing Director of JLL Hong Kong and Macau, said: "Sustainability has become an important element in the real estate sector and our clients are increasingly taking a building's sustainability into account in their investment decisions as sustainably operated properties perform better in the long term at both the asset and portfolio levels. JLL is also committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions across all JLL-occupied buildings by 2030. With the input from Helen and leveraging her strong track record in the sustainability sector, we are confident to offer excellent consultancy services externally and bring our team to a whole new level."
Helen Amos, Head of Sustainability at JLL in Hong Kong, said: "I am thrilled to lead the sustainability team in Hong Kong to provide valuable insights and advice to our clients as ESG becomes a crucial part of a better future. The real estate sector is currently responsible for 40% of the world's carbon emissions and if we are to make the successful transition to net zero, we must dramatically reduce the environmental impact of buildings and how they operate. With JLL's outstanding services and deep knowledge of the market, I believe we can achieve a solid result over time."
