News: Developer to reveal revised plans for housing scheme on key Christchurch site

18/01/2023

By Jason Lewis - Revised plans to transform a dormant Christchurch town centre site will go on show to the public this week. Initial designs for up to 200 apartments on the Bridge Street former gas works site were revealed back in October.

Churchill Retirement Living held a two-day event at the King's Hotel to gauge initial feedback on the proposed scheme. Following this process, the developer has announced another consultation event.

An online statement said: "We are bringing forward proposals for a multi-generational development which will provide a mix of affordable, retirement and open-market housing.

"This event follows our well attended community events on October 7 and 8, 2022, and we are grateful to everyone who came to view the plans and provided us with valuable feedback.
