People Moves: Cushman & Wakefield welcomes Midori Suzuki as Head of Sustainability & ESG in Japan
Press Release - Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm, on Tuesday, announced the appointment of Midori Suzuki as Head of Sustainability & Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Japan, effective 1 July 2022.
Sustainability & ESG is a key area of focus for both real estate users, investors and building owners throughout the Asia Pacific region, and interest and demand for the practice has increased significantly in the Japanese market. As Head of Sustainability & ESG for Japan, Midori will be part of the firm's dedicated Sustainability & ESG practice group in Asia Pacific, which has more than 60 members. She will work with both the regional practice group and the various teams across the Japanese business to develop and deliver optimal ESG solutions to clients, leveraging Cushman & Wakefield's global platform and competitive advantage.

Midori has over 20 years of real estate experience, with specific expertise in property and asset management as well as investment advisory services. She previously worked at Tosei Asset Advisors, where she was in-charge of the offshore investor desk and responsible for business promotion. Prior to that, Midori led the investor relations function at SG Holdings (the holding company of Sagawa Express G) and was country manager at GIC Real Estate (the Government of Singapore's real estate investment arm). She has also served as an Executive Officer at JLL, where she was Regional Director/Client Services Head for Asia, and as an Adjunct Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Midori is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Real Estate and the Tokyo Institute of Technology's Department of Architecture.
