Media Article (Immobilien Business) -- CBRE Switzerland has appointed Veronica Cassatella as Lead ESG & Sustainability Real Estate Advisory. She took up the newly created position in January. Cassatella's job profile includes the coordination and integration of ESG and sustainability topics across CBRE's service spectrum as well as specific ESG strategy consulting. ESG strategy consulting includes, among other things, concept development and reporting to meet upcoming disclosure requirements in Switzerland at the fund, portfolio and asset level. In addition, Cassatella is to advise and support clients in the sustainability certification of assets.

Cassatella has been a sustainability expert in the real estate industry since 2018. Most recently, she served as Impact Manager at the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction in Zurich. There, she was responsible for managing and overseeing key projects to promote sustainable solutions within the construction industry. In 2019 and 2021, Cassatella served as a consultant on development projects for Global Infrastructure Basel. In recent years, she has worked as an independent consultant on construction company sustainability strategies and label development, with a focus on reporting, enterprise-level strategies, circular economy and regeneration. Prior to that, she spent several years as a trained architect working globally as a project manager for global energy service providers.

"With Veronica Cassatella, we are adding integrated ESG strategy consulting to our existing ESG team focusing on ESG consulting," says Clive Hildering, Head ESG & Sustainability at CBRE Switzerland. "This means that, for the first time, our local as well as international clients have access to a consulting offering that covers all real estate segments across the entire real estate lifecycle."
