People Moves: Andrea Drasites appointed as Global Head of Real Estate and Agricultural Finance at MetLife Investment Management

Whippany, NJ (Press Release) -- MetLife Investment Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Drasites as Global Head of Real Estate and Agricultural Finance. Andrea will join the company effective Oct. 1, 2026. She will report to Brian Funk, President of MIM.

"She is well positioned to lead our real estate team as we continue to accelerate growth and further scale our global capabilities for clients following the acquisition of PineBridge Investments."

As Head of Real Estate and Agricultural Finance, Drasites will lead the company's commercial mortgage and equity real estate portfolio, as well as its agricultural investments portfolio. MIM's real estate portfolio represented $108.9 billion in gross real estate and agricultural assets under management as of December 31, 2025.

As Global Head, Andrea will be responsible for setting strategic direction, expanding global lending capabilities, and enhancing product offerings across commercial mortgages, agricultural loans, and related real asset strategies. She will also champion data-driven insights and ESG integration, ensuring that MetLife Investment Management continues to meet high standards of transparency, stewardship, and performance for its stakeholders.

Andrea will be based in a major financial hub and will report to senior leadership within MetLife Investment Management’s institutional business. Her appointment reflects confidence in the long-term opportunities within real estate and agricultural finance and reinforces the firm’s position as a leading provider of customized, income-oriented investment solutions for clients around the world.
