People Moves: Schroders plc appoints Frederic Wakeman to join as Independent Non-Executive Director
Press Release -- Schroders plc announced that Frederic Wakeman will join the Board as an Independent Non-executive Director, effective 1 January 2024. He will also join the Nominations Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee. Between 1998 and 2021, Fred served as Managing Partner and Head of TMT at Advent International.
During his 23-year career, Fred managed Advent's London and New York offices and served on both their European and North American Investment Advisory Committees. Fred Wakeman started his career at Bank of New York before moving to GE Capital in 1993. He joined Advent International Corporation in 1998 and became Managing Partner and CEO of Advent International Plc in London.
In 2015 he assumed responsibility for Advent's global technology practice, based in New York. Since leaving Advent in 2021 he founded Blue Endeavor Ventures. He is also the Co-Founder of Scale-Up Fund.
Fred is a Non-Executive Director of a number of private companies in the sustainability and conservation sectors.
