People Moves: PensionDanmark appoints Cecilie Orland Kiærskou as Real Estate Investment Director
Copenhagen, Denmark (Press Release) -- PensionDanmark's real estate department is consolidating its investment activities into a new unit and increasing its focus on joint-venture partnerships and development projects. Cecilie Orland Kiærskou has been appointed Head of Investments to lead this work. The strategic investment function is being strengthened with the appointment of Cecilie Orland Kiærskou to a new role as Head of Investments in PensionDanmark's real estate division.
"With Cecilie, we gain a Head of Investments with deep experience from development projects in Denmark's largest cities. These are areas where PensionDanmark is already strongly represented—and where we need to stand even stronger going forward. Cecilie has a unique ability to lead investment processes and translate investments into long-term value, which aligns perfectly with our future ambitions," says Torben Modvig, Director of PensionDanmark's real estate division.
Cecilie (pictured above) joins from Urban Partners, where she focused on responsible investments and major development projects, including playing a key role in the retail development of the Århusgadekvarteret district in Copenhagen. As Head of Investments, she will play a central role in ensuring that PensionDanmark's real estate investments deliver stable and competitive returns for the members of PensionDanmark —while also creating value in each project.

At the end of 2024, PensionDanmark's real estate portfolio amounted to DKK 32.4 billion (approx. €4.34 billion), spanning investments from commercial properties to new residential districts. Cecilie Orland Kiærskou will assume the position of Head of Investments on 1 February 2026.
