People Moves: Cushman & Wakefield announces key appointments to its Asia Pacific Living Platform
Cushman & Wakefield is pleased to announce the appointment of Conal Newland and Josh Rose-Nokes to its Asia Pacific Living platform as it strengthens its regional presence in the rapidly-growing sector.
Conal Newland joins the global real estate services firm (NYSE:CWK) as International Director, Head of Living, Asia Pacific. Newland brings more than two decades of experience across the sector, with deep specialism in student housing and having transacted over USD 4 billion in deals across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Newland will drive the regional platform's growth in cornerstone Living markets including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong China, and across asset classes including Multifamily, Student Housing, Co-Living and Seniors accommodation. He will also work closely with his counterparts in EMEA and the Americas to ensure global consistency in service standards and delivery for the firm's multinational client base.
Newland said: "Interest in Asia Pacific's Living sector continues to grow as investors are increasingly attracted to its income profile, which is underpinned by strong structural and demographic drivers. I'm excited by the opportunity to further build on Cushman & Wakefield's recognized strength within the Living sector and ensure our service offering continues to exceed our clients' expectations."
Josh Rose-Nokes joins Cushman & Wakefield as Director, Living Research, Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Rose-Nokes worked in research and consultancy roles for various commercial real estate firms in the Living space, and held a non-executive chairman role for a United Kingdom housing association. He brings more than 15 years' experience in real estate research, data and analytics, client consultancy and business development.
Rose-Nokes said: "Asia Pacific's Living sector is entering an exciting phase of growth as key markets adopt a more supportive regulatory environment to facilitate greater institutional investment and to address the need for greater diversity of housing product.

"The drivers are now in place for Asia Pacific to really accelerate as a Living market and I'm excited by Cushman & Wakefield's ambition and articulation around its approach to the sector at this time."
Newland is based in the firm's Sydney office, and reports into Chief Executive for Australia, New Zealand & North Asia, Noral Wild, who also holds around 30 years' experience in the sector. Rose-Nokes is based in the firm's Singapore office, and reports to Dr Dominic Brown, Head of International Research.
