Wells Fargo's Amrit Walia named as Co-Head of Deutsche Bank's wealth management arm in New York

Deutsche Bank US confirm the appointment of Ms. Walia who takes up a role as Co-Head of International Private Bank, Americas in New York with immediate effect

NEW YORKOctober 15, 2021 -- According to a press memo, Deutsche Bank today announced that Amrit Walia has started as Managing Director, Co-Head New York within the International Private Bank - Americas (IPB - Americas), where she partner with Anthony Valvo, Co-Head New York and Head of Miami. She will focus on deepening the relationships with IPB - America's Ultra High-Net Worth clients and further developing the firm's Americas business.

Ms. Walia is based in New York, and reports into Arjun Nagarkatti, Head of IPB - Americas. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and joins from Wells Fargo Private Bank where she was Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director. Ms. Walia was responsible for oversight of the wealth management business and strategy across ultra-high net worth, high net worth and affluent client segments. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she covered similar clients at Hartford Funds and the Merrill Lynch Private Bank and Investment Group.

The business will continue to execute on what it does best across the business and will look to recruit experienced Relationship Managers and Product Specialists in New York, the West Coast and Florida to help its clients.

Over the last month, IPB - Americas team has also hired Jay Yost and Jacob Siefkes to its New York team from Citi Private Bank as a Director and Vice President, respectively. In addition, Todd Dahlstrom has joined as a Director in Miami. Mr. Dahlstrom was most recently a Senior Business Development Officer with PNC Wealth Management in their Hawthorne Group, which focuses on UHNW clients
