Southwestern Energy announces Carl Giesler Jr. as new Chief Financial Officer
Giesler Jr. joins as CFO, effective Monday 19 July 2021 where he will replace interim appointment Michael Hancock.
TEXAS, United States, June 15, 2021 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE: SWN) today announced that Carl Giesler Jr. will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on July 19, 2021. Michael Hancock, who has served as CFO on an interim basis, will continue as Vice President - Finance & Treasurer.

Mr. Giesler (pictured) has more than 25 years of experience serving in various oil and gas finance, investing, and public company executive officer roles, including most recently at SandRidge Energy, Inc. Mr. Giesler received a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
