Société Générale Group appoints Claire Dumas as Chief Financial Officer


Ms. Dumas will be replacing Deputy General Manager and Finance lead, William Kadouch-Chassaing, who will be departing as of 30 November 2021 to pursue other opportunities outside of banking

November 4, 2021 -- Société Générale has today announced the appointment of Claire Dumas as Group Chief Financial Officer effective as of 1st December 2021, reporting directly to Frédéric Oudéa, CEO of Société Générale Group.

Ms. Dumas has served in various senior positions with SocGen, prior to taking up her new role as CFO. Ms. Dumas, who was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Retail Banking in France in 2014, before being appointed Deputy CFO of the Group in 2017, begins her role with effect from 1 December 2021.

On the appointment of Ms. Dumas, SocGen CEOFrederic Oudea, was quoted as saying: 

"I am very pleased to appoint Claire Dumas as Head of the Finance Department. Her wide-ranging career in different positions within the Group has demonstrated her exceptional professional and human qualities. I am sure that she will be able to carry out her new responsibilities, which are essential to the smooth running of the Group, with the necessary rigour and commitment.
