KPMG US appoints Rob Fisher to lead ESG Solutions Team
KPMG US has announced Rob Fisher as head of its ESG solutions initiative, KPMG IMPACT. The initiative is designed to integrate ESG into operations and investments so that they address climate change and social and governance objectives.
NEW YORK, June 9 2021 -- Fisher (pictured) is a partner at KPMG, and has been with the firm for more than 20 years. In addition to leading KPMG IMPACT, he will serve as service line leader for KPMG's risk assurance practice. Helped by KPMG's global network, Fisher will take KPMG IMPACT to market and recruit staff to work for it.
Paul Knopp, KPMG US chair and CEO, said: "Our commitment to ESG has accelerated with the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic and unprecedented social unrest and activism. Never before has the connection between the long-term good of the organization and the interests of its stakeholders and society been more apparent."
KPMG IMPACT helps clients deliver against the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also aligns with universal ESG metrics designed to promote stakeholder capitalism which have been developed by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
