The primary research project being coordinated by a collective of three senior researchers including Professor Steffen Boehm (University of Exeter), Dr. Johanna Jarvela (Copenhagen Business School), and Dr. Charles Barthold (The Open University Business School) will aim to understand the interplay between managerial identities in the renewable energy sector and sustainability discourse in a context of environmental emergency crisis. Open University Business School Research Director, Dr. Charles Barthold said: "The project aims to understand how sustainability discourse in the renewable energy sector is linked to broader social discourses such as the global environmental crisis."
"We are interested in finding out the experiences of managers in the renewable energy sector. Interviews will involve a researcher from the research team talking to participants for about one hour online." Dr. Barthold added, "the interview will be recorded and transcribed so that we can be sure that we correctly remember everything that participants tell us. Interviews will take place online and will be held in the English language. This will lead to research publications."
The research will be conducted in the next few months. Interested parties are advised to reach out to Dr. Barthold for further information.
