Eleanor Bucks appointed Lloyd’s Chief Investment Officer
Bucks will bring 20 years of finance and insurance experience to the Corporation
LONDON, England, July 13, 2021 (PRESS RELEASE) -- Lloyd's today announced that Eleanor Bucks will be joining the Corporation in the newly created role of Chief Investment Officer, which will build and lead Lloyd's new investment platform for the market.
Effective September 2021, Eleanor will be based in London and will focus on the creation of the new Lloyd's Market Investment platform, which will enable greater scale and access to broader products to ultimately reduce cost and improve returns for the market. Eleanor will also oversee Lloyd's Treasury and Investment Management team.
Eleanor (pictured) joins Lloyd's from Legal & General where she was the Chief Operating Officer of its alternative asset platform, Legal & General Capital.
She has 20 years of experience in insurance and finance including several roles at Legal & General as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director, Direct Investment and Real Assets for Legal & General Retirement. She has also served as Chair of LGIM Real Asset's Alternative Investment Fund Manager and a Director or Legal & General's Single-Family Build-to-Rent business.
