Edinburgh-based boutique expands its Investment team

The socially responsible investment firm, Trillium Asset Management, makes three important hires as it grows its capital base

EDINBURGH, October 06, 2021 -- Trillium Asset Management has appointed Andrea Zdanaviciute, Melanie Miao and Vickie Little in its new Edinburgh office.

Zdanaviciute has been made its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Research Specialist, Miao comes in as an Investment Analyst and Vickie Little joins as an Office Manager and Investment Assistant.

Zdanaviciute joined the team last month, bringing more than 10 years' experience of working in private and public sectors, from banking, financial stability, research, change management, behavioural insights and sustainable finance.

She previously worked in sustainable finance for the United Nation s. Earlier in her career she was head of research and analytics at fintech start-up Liquidatum.

Zdanaviciute will report to Jamie Mariani, portfolio manager at Trillium. She will work collaboratively with the Trillium ESG specialists based in the US on the implementation of all aspects of the related ESG process.

Miao will join at the end of October from Ruffer, where she was a Research Associate in the Global Equities team.

She brings experience with working on ESG issues, from active ownership activities, including engagement and voting to analysis of sectors and companies.

Miao will report to Ian Warmerdam, Lead Portfolio Manager at Trillium, and will play a role in evaluating potential investments and shaping global portfolios.

Little started at Trillium last month and reports to Jamie Mariani. She has 10 years of experience in the asset management industry, including roles in UK wholesale market support roles at Standard Life Investments and Standard Life Aberdeen.

The Boston-headquartered asset manager was founded in 1982 and now has around $4.8bn worth of assets under management.

Last year, Trillium was acquired by Australian financial firm Perpetual.
