Crédit Agricole CIB names Edouard O’Neill as Hong Kong CEO


Crédit Agricole CIB has appointed Edouard O'Neill as its chief executive officer for the Hong Kong branch and head of structured finance for Asia

PARIS, France, April 27, 2021 (PRESS RELEASE) -- Crédit Agricole CIB has today announced the appointment of Edouard O'Neill as Chief Executive Officer for the Hong Kong Branch and Head of Structured Finance for Asia.

O'Neill joined Crédit Agricole CIB in 2015 as a Managing Director for Corporate Acquisition Finance and was the Global Head of Acquisition Finance & Advisory since 2019. Edouard started his career in the Strategic and Acquisition Finance team at Société Générale CIB and later as a corporate finance and event finance specialist at Groupe Casino and ING Commercial Banking respectively. 

In this dual role, he will lead the overall business development and strategy of the bank's local commercial franchise, as well as further develop its structured finance activities across the region.

After joining Crédit Agricole CIB in 2015, O'Neill has been global head of acquisition finance advisory since 2019.

Based in Hong Kong, Edouard reports to Michel Roy, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific. For Structured Finance Asia-related matters, he reports dually to Jacques de Villaines, Global Head of Structured Finance, and Michel Roy.
