CPP Investments appoints its very first Sustainability Officer
Deborah Orida joined CPP Investments 12 years ago from Goldman Sachs, and has held senior leadership roles during her tenure at the pension fund
October, 28, 2021 -- In a press release published on Wednesday, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), a leading pension fund with AUM of over CAD 519bn, announced the appointment of Ms. Deborah Orida as its first Chief Sustainability Officer promoting her from her previous role as Senior Managing Director & Global Head of Real Assets. CPP Investments confirmed that Ms. Orida will continue to lead the fund's drive towards sustainable and responsible investment as a Managing Director and real estate sector lead.
Ms. Orida graduated from Queen's University with a degree in Economics and has a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School and first joined CPP Investments in 2009 as a Senior Portfolio Manager having previously worked for Goldman Sachs.
