November 15, 2021 -- Pablo Callejo has been appointed Head of Real Estate Investment Banking (REIB) for CBRE's Operational Real Estate (OPRE) business within Continental Europe.

Pablo will continue to lead the Real Estate Investment Banking team in Spain whilst taking on the additional responsibility of building CBRE's expertise and market share across the growing Operational Real Estate sectors, with a focus on Healthcare, Student Housing, Co-Living and Senior Living. He will be working closely with CBRE's REIB and OPRE leads across Continental Europe on Corporate Finance and M&A transactions, including Tariq Hayat, who recently joined from KPMG to lead REIB transactions for OPRE in the UK.

The CBRE REIB team consists of more than 50 people focused on investment banking across the region. Collectively, the team has transacted in excess of €20bn in M&A and raised more than €7bn of equity since 2019 and has recently completed a number of high profile M&A transactions, focused on operational real estate sectors. These include advising Orpea on the on the acquisition of FirstCare group, a care home operator in Ireland; advising Domus Vi Group on the acquisition of Trinity Care, a nursing home operator in Ireland, advising on the sell side of RESA, the leading PBSA company in Continental Europe and advising on the creation of the first Hospital Propco in Spain.
