Alantra strengthens its specialised advisory teams by hiring five senior professionals in Real Estate, Technology, and Industrials
PARIS / FRANKFURT, October 07, 2021 -- Alantra, an independent global mid-market investment banking and asset management firm, has added five senior professionals, increasing its specialised global offering in high-growth sectors.
The Group has reinforced its investment banking capabilities by incorporating a Real Estate & Hospitality team in Paris, and two Managing Directors in Frankfurt focused on Industrials and Technology.
Based in Paris, the new Real Estate & Hospitality sector team consists of five professionals, including three partners, each with between 15 and 20 years of experience in the sector. Working together since 2016 in the Capital Markets department of the Babylone Group, the three new partners-Yonel Marelli, Richard Desgroppes and Jérémie Sénior-have transacted a combined total of 150 deals worth EUR4.6 billion. Each has a distinguished track record with the leading French and international players in this segment.
With these appointments, Alantra further strengthens its specialised and diverse Investment Banking practice, comprising more than 280 professionals in 20 countries. Year-to-date, Alantra has hired more than 25 senior professionals in high growth sectors such as Healthcare, Technology, Real Estate, and FIG, and added a debt advisory team in Italy.
These diverse and specialised capabilities have resulted in record deal activity for the Firm. As of 30 September 2021, Alantra has advised on a record-breaking more than 170 deals globally, including 109 M&A transactions, for a total volume of EUR10 billion. This performance merited the Firm to rank as the No3 independent advisor in Europe and No1 advisor to Private Equity Firms in Europe, per Mergermarket.
